There will be a course offered in Boston in either June or July.
Details will be posted as soon as possible. I believe it will
be a two day course with minimal facilities: individuals who
want to do hands-on computing will have to bring a laptop.
CDs with current software images will be provided.

Likely curriculum: 1) brief review of R and package/documentation
concepts; 2) microarray data structures and workflow models; 3)
importing to Bioconductor from diverse formats; 4) preprocessing;
5) exprSets and allied structures and methods; 6) filtering and
exploratory data analysis/visualization; 7) experimental design
and inference procedures; 8) annotation and reporting resources.

Currently the course is not projected to include basic training
in R or statistics.

Persons interested in attending such a course or suggesting
details for the curriculum should reply to me directly with
BIOCTRAIN in the header of your e-mail. The fee is expected
to be about $250 for academics, $500 for commercial researchers.
