Hi All,

We are getting ready for the next release of Bioconductor and I watned
to let you know about two ways that you can help the project improve.

1. Give feedback to package maintainers

This is the time to stress-test the packages you like to use and
communicate any bugs, feature requests, or ideas for improvement to
the package's maintainer. The maintainer's email address can be
displayed by loading the package in R and calling
   packageDescription("somePkgs").

The most useful feedback for package maintainers will be from users
exercising the current devel version of the package. If you want
to test the latest stuff, install R-devel and then use the biocLite
script which will automatically detect R-devel and install devel
   versions of Bioconductor packages.

2. Donate Documentation

Bioconductor packages (are supposed to) come with vignettes, short
documents written in Sweave that demonstrate the use of the
package. We would like to solicit contributions from the
Bioconductor community of Sweave documents that demonstrate the use
of one or more Bioconductor packages to accomplish specific
analysis tasks. So if you have figured out how to use some of the
Bioconductor packages to accomplish your analysis goals, consider
writing up an example that others can use.

Thanks for the help,

+ seth

PS: The upcoming Bioconductor release will follow the release of R
by a few days and is tentatively scheduled for early October.
