[BioC] unable to connect Bioconductor website from R!

Hi,
 I'm unable to connect Bioconductor website from R.My computer is behind
the proxy server. But I've configured my .Renviron file and given the
proper environment value for http and ftp.
Its like this
http_proxy="http://login:passwd@//vsnlproxy.iitk.ac.in:3128/"
ftp_proxy="http://login:passwd@//vsnlproxy.iitk.ac.in:3128/"

Can anbody tell me what am I missing?
