[BioC] BioC 1.6 Release unavailable

What he means is that when you click on "BioC 1.6 Release" under
Download, and then "BioC 1.6 Package listing", that link points to the
1.7 package listing, not the 1.6 (because the link is to biocStable, not
bioc1.6).

BioC 1.7 is the current released version of Bioconductor.  If you can,
I would recommend upgrading to R 2.2.0 and installing BioC 1.7
packages.

If that isn't possible for you, there is a link to the 1.6 packages
here:
http://www.bioconductor.org/download/

I'm not sure what you mean by disappear or unavailable, but perhaps a
link on the main page changes (appropriately) to reflect the current
release.

Note that you can follow the same installation instructions and if you
are running R 2.1.x, you will automatically get the 1.6 packages.
