[BioC] OFF TOPIC How measures is more appropriated to statistical analysis?

Dear Bioconductors,

I have been started to analyse my cDNA spot slides on ArrayVision and I
have a doubt:

ArrayVision offers Density, ARM Density, Median Density, MTM Density,
Volume and, AR Volume.

Here [1] there are an explanation about each one.

How these ones is more appropriated to subsequent analysis on Bioconductor?

I found a step-by-step here [2] and it use Volume. Could you suggest me
anythings about it?
