Details

The schedule is still being arranged, but should be between about 9.00 - 17.00
on both days.

The meeting will take place at the University of Lausanne, in room Amphimax 414
(Quartier Sorge). The closest metro stop is Unil-Sorge (NOT Unil-Dorigny).
Detailed directions to the University (in English) are available at
http://www.unil.ch/acces/page36432_en.html.

Lodging

The University can obtain a discount rate from some of the local hotels:

Hotel des Voyageurs (http://www.holidaycityeurope.com/comfort-lausanne/),
approx 122CHF, is in downtown Lausanne on a pedestrian street

Hotel du Parc (http://www.leparc.ch/), approx 110 CHF, is in Ecublens a few
metro stops from the University.

To obtain the discount we must book the room for you. If you want to book one
of these, then please send an email as soon as possible to
Jocelyne.Muller at licr.org, letting her know which hotel you prefer, what days you
need and how many in the room (single or double). If booking a double room,
only 1 email with both names is necessary. Alternatively, you are free to make
your own lodging arrangements; if you do so, please email Darlene.Goldstein at
epfl.ch so that we know you are already taken care of.

Getting to Lausanne

The closest airport is in Geneva. There is a train station at the airport
(Geneva Airport, NOT Geneva), with 3-5 trains per hour to Renens VD and
Lausanne. You can plan your train journey (in English) at
http://www.sbb.ch/en/index.htm
You can also change the language to German, French or Italian.

The currency in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc (CHF), equivalent to
approximately 0.80 US dollar, 0.60 Euro, or 0.40 British pounds sterling.
Exchanging money is very easy in Switzerland, you can change money at major
train stations (including at the airport) and banks, or at cash machines using
debit or credit cards.
