Hi Anguraj

the biomaRt package allows you to query, for example, the Ensembl 
biomart interface, via which you can get, among many other things, 
Interpro Short Description,  Interpro Description and Interpro ID for 
proteins, when you supply it with a list of gene, transcript or protein 
identifiers.
