[BioC] BIOINFORMATICIAN position available in Italy

We are a well and privately funded company based in Northern Italy and 
we are looking for
the top quality people, both with experience and with potential, to 
support our expansion in
the area of genomics services.
We seek a highly motivated Bioinformatician to manage and analyze data 
generated by an
ultrahigh-throughput DNA sequencing instrument (e.g. Solexa, 454, ABI 
Solid or similar).
Responsibilities will include setting up analysis pipelines to conduct 
downstream
bioinformatics analysis including: mapping to reference sequences, 
genome re-sequencing,
ncRNA deep-sequencing, expression analysis, chip-seq, data quality 
control, genome scale
data analysis. The Bioinformatician will be involved in experimental 
setup, data generation
and mining for multiple research centers.
Candidates must have a post graduate qualification in Bioinformatics or 
a primary degree in
computer science with a postgraduate qualification in biological 
science. Applicants with
computing skills and consolidated biological background from a numerate 
discipline
(computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, biophysics) are 
also encouraged to
apply.
Some programming skills (Java, C++, Perl or Python) applied in a 
heterogeneous computing
environment is essential as well as a basic experience in handling and 
maintaining MySQL
database. Knowledge of a statistical analysis language such as 
R/Bioconductor is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is also required as 
well as the ability to to
work closely in a team and interact efficiently with external 
consultants, collaborators and
customers.
