I'm not sure what your question is. Are you asking if quantile
normalization is part of the `rma` or `gcrma` procedure?

If so, then please read through the documentation using ?rma and
?gcrma. You'll find that both function take a `normalize` parameter
which defaults to TRUE and is related to what I think you are asking.
