[BioC] selection of probes, probesets mapping to the same gene

please do not cross-post to two lists (r-help, bicoonductor) as it discourages those on either list who might be able to give you an answer to do so.

What you are asking for is done with one or two lines in R, e.g. using ‘tapply’ and a custom function implemeting your criterion. Hard to see how one could write a whole package around this that would make it easier.
