[ESS] Cannot open load file: executable

Start XEmacs with 


xemacs -debug-init   (can't recall if it's --debug-init  or -debug-init)  

and mail us the buffer for debugging (or perhaps, just to me or
ess-bugs at stat.math.ethz.ch).
