New version 6.3-1 of VR bundle

A new version, 6.3-1, of the VR bundle is now on CRAN and
update.packages() should get it for you on Unix and Windows.  The change
in minor version number reflects a number of additions which are to
support the 4th edition of `Modern Applied Statistics in S' (due in about
August, and covering R as well as S-PLUS).  (The scripts are still for
MASS3; version 7.0 will have the scripts for MASS4.)

Some of the recent changes:

MASS:

- new function fitdistr for ML estimation of univariate distributions.
- new function glmmPQL to use lme to fit GLMMs by PQL.
- truehist allows rule for nbins to be specified as a character string.
- parcoord function.
- new datasets bacteria, epil, nlschools, SP500

class:

- batchSOM and ancilliary functions.
