R-alpha: ISO Latin1 and Readline

Exactly. One loses the Meta characters that way, unavoidable since
Meta works in xterms and other terminals by OR'ing characters with
0x128, so e.g. M-x == ø. No big deal, use ESC x instead. (Who uses
it anyway?)

One less newbie error when teaching... Are there any arguments
*against* it?
