R-alpha: lbeta, ctrl-C and crashes

Affirmative. Problem vanished when relinking with a freshly compiled
libreadline.a v.2.1. But there's nothing in the ChangeLog relating to
signal handling bugs fixed since 2.0, so it might be a question of
simply recompiling the library. This would be preferable since it can
be done with the rpm command. Will check later, time to buy dinner
before the shop closes...
