R-alpha: Sorting Efficiency -- thoughts.. : if(!is.sorted(x)) x <- sort(x)

Well, since it seems that number of algorithms have been implemented,
how about keeping them and having a:

	sort( x, algorithm="....")

call?  (I'm only quasi-serious this morning).
