R-alpha: bug: rbind(.) drops names for character; cbind(.) is ok.

##-- This is the bug:
> rbind(graph=c("A","B"), plot=c(2:3), my.glm=c(3:4))
     [,1] [,2]
[1,] "A"  "B" 
[2,] "2"  "3" 
[3,] "3"  "4" 

##-- cbind(.) is ok:
> cbind(graph=c("A","B"), plot=c(2:3), my.glm=c(3:4))
     graph plot my.glm
[1,] "A"   "2"  "3"   
[2,] "B"   "3"  "4"   
>
