English compatibility library

Is there any good reason not to add the following:

	# R English compatibility library
	licence<-license
	colours<-colors
	heat.colours<-heat.colors
	terrain.colours<-terrain.colors
	topo.colours<-topo.colors
	optimise<-optimize

I don't actually have difficulty with any of the R terms, but this sort of
thing can be annoying. In LaTeX I still type \begin{itemise} annoyingly
often.
