library.dynam

I keep an Splus library on our file server and support different architectures
by giving different names to compiled files to be loaded (eg. Sun4.dse.so,
Sun5.dse.so). I have the impression that it is not possible to do this with R's
current library.dynam(name)  because it uses the name to indicate both the
location and name of the binary file? Is that correct or could someone explain
how I do this?
