lwd subscript error?

In R 0.62.2 I'm getting an error in one of my tests which I don't think occurs
in 0.62.1 (but I have been changing things too). It looks like it is associated
with lwd. I haven't traced it down completely, but if anyone can see the problem
immediately I would appreciate help.
