function.html gets clobbered (PR#18)

I grabbed R-devel.tar.gz from fangorn.ci.tuwien.ac.at  at about 9pm GMT Thur.
Feb 18. It does not seem to have the problem fixed, but I'm not sure if that was
the version I was suppose to try.

I won't be at work tomorrow. I can try again Monday.
