Yes, people have, but there have been several reports of problems from
people who have not followed the instructions. Have you read and followed
all the instructions in the README (like having a suitable shell at
/bin/sh?  On Win9x you may need to ensure that DISPLAY is set as a global
environmental variable.  Note that as Win9x has quite a broken fork,
spawning processes like this is known to give problems.

Should be localhost:0.0 (see the README and xgobi.bat)

BTW, I think this is off-topic for R-devel, and the README in that
distribution does explicitly say that it is unsupported.
