No problems have been found on any of our RH6.0 installations (and
egcs-1.1.2 is egcs-2.91.66 as supplied with that distribution).  That
problem is reported for RH6.>2<, but not 0.

I made the comment in the knowledge that R 1.1.0 does work on a vanilla
RH6.0 installation (with egcs-g77), as until recently that was my Linux
test platform (and I still have access to a dozen such machines).
It provides a known quantity to compare with Berwin's compiler (and
as I compiled gcc-2.95.2 from the sources it is not so precisely known
an option).
