[Rd] graphics character misplaced (PR#548)

The character "*" displays too high in comparison to the graph space and other
characters in the plot. Consider:

> a_-0.15
> plot(c(0,100),c(0,1))
> for (i in 1:100){ points(i,(1-exp(a*i)),pch=".",col="blue")}
> for (i in 1:100){ points(i,(1-exp(a*i)),pch="*",col="red")}
> abline(1,0)

This may be a well understood effect of using display characters, but the "o" in
the
original plot call falls in the right place.
