It compiled fine, and works fine (ESS does not work fine, but that is another
issue).

Great! But if I try to compile it on Potato (Linux), it dies after a long
command with a multitude of .o files with:
xxxpr.o: In function `intpr_':
..... xxxpr.c:28: undefined reference to `i_len'

and many more like this in line 53,78 plus others. I did not have this under
the Hurd. What is this?
