Small new features have been known to slip into the patch releases
though, but if there's *any* chance of getting something wrong, we
should not include it during feature freeze, however little it might
seem. Changing arguments and result components must be off-limits by
principle, if only because the effort invested in ensuring that they
are harmless would be better spent on fixing known bugs.
