[Rd] threaded libraries (e.g. ATLAS) not yet supported in 1.5

There was some discussion a while back about using threaded BLAS
libraries, such as a threaded version of ATLAS, with R.  While it is
possible to build R to use these libraries (if you get all the right
flags for your platform) there is a problem with signal handling, in
particular SIGINT, that we have not yet been able to resolve.
Hopefully we will be able to come up with a satisfactory resolution
for 1.6, but 1.5 does not have the infrastructure needed to adequately
support threaded libraries.
