This isn't an R bug, it's a contributed package bug.  You should write
to the package maintainer Albrecht Gebhardt
<albrecht.gebhardt at uni-klu.ac.at> and the Windows binary package
maintainer Uwe Ligges <ligges at statistik.uni-dortmund.de>, including
code to reproduce the bug.

I'd suggest trying it with 1.8.1 first; it's possible you were seeing
the effects of some other bug that has been fixed.
