[Rd] Request to Windows NT4 users

I have just updated the MinGW tools to the latest versions.  These don't 
include a patch that was intended to ensure NT 4 compatibility, but I 
don't know if the patch is still necessary.

If anyone is still using NT4, could you please download R-patched, and 
see if it runs on your system?  As of revision 38781 the builds are 
using the new toolset.   This build should be available on CRAN within a 
few hours, and on the mirrors sometime after that.  Go to

and check that the page is dated 2006-08-03 or later.
