[Rd] R-2.3.1.tar.gz does not contain VR bundle (PR#9084)

Dear professor Ripley,

I downloaded the file from the CRAN mirrow at Austria, and it seemed very 
strange that nobody had noticed the same problem. But the same phenomenan 
appeared several times, so I was rather convinced that the file was missing.

I now double-checked this on another system, and the bundle is indeed in 
the source distribution, but for some reason it is not untarred 
successfully in Solaris 5.9. This is funny, because I've not noticed 
anything similar with R source distribution previously.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, and conclude that the problem that was 
actually non-existenting is now solved.
