Hi Dario,

Here are another couple of other fun functions you can utilize besides the
ones Dirk recommended :)

extSoftVersion()
grSoftVersion()

Below is an example:

                 libtiff
"LIBTIFF, Version 4.0.3"

> extSoftVersion()
      zlib                  bzlib             xz

      PCRE                    ICU            TRE
"8.36 2014-09-26"          "53.1" "TRE 0.8.0 R_fixes (BSD)"
     iconv
"win_iconv"
