R-beta: error in x11 graphics?

Actually, the two are birds of a feather. The facilities for copying
plots between devices are also what makes it possible to redraw a plot
when the shape of the window changes.

Whether *perfect* WYSIWYG is even desirable is another matter. For
instance a smooth font rendered at 72 dpi often looks so horrible that
it gets in the way of what you really wanted the plot for in the first
place: extracting information. If you want a true preview, it is
usually better to save to a postscript file and use ghostview (or gv).
