[R] R compiling on SOLARIS 2.6

Carl,

Your compiling tree looks like it is from an older version of Rweb.
I'm not sure the most recent version of Rweb is an improvement as far
as the requirements for supporting software go, but I tried.
The most recent version of Rweb is available at:

ftp://ftp.math.montana.edu/pub/umsfjban/RwebCurrentRelease.tar.gz

and it includes a configure and install script that will eliminate all
of your installation problems (and if you believe that ...)

Anyway, the current software requirements for Rweb are:

	R
	Perl (preferably 5.004 or higher)
	   Perl module CGI.pm (included in Perl 5.004 or higher)
	   Perl module Simple.pm (part of the LWP module which is part
           of the libwww module)
	Four functions from the NetPNM library
	   pstopnm, ppmtogif, pnmcrop, and pnmflip
	Ghostscript (required by the pstopnm function)

The pstoimg function from Latex2html is no longer needed so this may 
solve the problem you were having with the installation of Rweb.
