[R] Error in get(x, envir, mode, inherits)

Thanks to Brian Ripley and the others who helped. I will try to avoid
unneccessary attachments from now on :-)

I am also changing the name of the 'length' variable in my dataset so that
my students are less likely to come to grief. Unfortunately I had earlier
distributed a GLM example with attach(dataframe) in the code.

As pointed out I should have used bug.report() for this. Two things had
stopped me from doing this in the heat of the moment. 

1.  I didn't know whether it was a bug, or just my ignorance.

2.  I had the feeling that the bug.report function might fire off an email
before I had time to check it.
