[R] Where is the base package?

Peter,
thanks for your nearly immediate reply. I think, everything is in the right
place.
I thought, I missed something very simple that is not obvious to a new user.
For example, there is a directory library\base\r, may be it should read
library\base\R? This case sensitivity problem is not uncommon with NT.
