[R] Text in plot

[Ennapadam Venkatraman]

I am trying to place a multi-line text in a plot.  R-0.63.2 on Linux however
writes only the first line.  Example given below.

R : Copyright 1999, The R Development Core Team
Version 0.63.2  (January 12, 1999)

> x11()
> plot(0,0)
> text(0,-0.5,"test \n line2")
