  K., I have this in my to-do debug list. But, I had no time

  Here, it works. But, I don't understand why I did this, buffering is
  resetted to 'on' every time a command is completed, i.e., you
  have to type during the execution of the long command. Try
  demo(lm.glm) and then after the standard demo prompt hit Crtl+W.

  I will correct this point and I find interesting the idea to have
  a "sign" of the status of the flag. Since, GraphApp doesn't manage a status
  line, I am thinking about having a menu-item which  can be used 
  to toggle the flag. The status of the flag can be shown checking/unchecking
  the menu item. What do you think?

  I am unsure about this. I understand the idea, I suppose.
  But, I don't like the idea to have Windows specific command.
