[R] GIF graphics device

I should have said that I want to support both Unix (Sparc/Solaris)
and Windows, so I was looking for a generic solution within R
rather than using a Unix utility (xv) or something only available
in Windows.  I'd like to do this automatically so the user does not
have to invoke an image capture program.
