The version info does not square with `the latest R' (R-release or R-devel,
and the latest R for Windows release is 0.64.2). Which compiler did you use
to compile it? This and a few other things seem related to the precise
compiler header files used. The menus and buttons do function: the printer
interface does not with gcc-2.95 for some reason.

I have no problems here, but I only use NT, and I don't have a printer
attached.

Could you please do some debugging of your crashes and send in a more
informative error report using bug.report(), so we get all the information?

BTW, if perchance you are using the preliminary version from my contrib
area, do read the announcement more carefully.
