Dear All,

I join all the enthusiasm that has been expressed to the R Core Team; I
particularly agree with Jens' point of view below. Perhaps we could add our
gratefulness to the R Core Team to animate the R-help list: I've learnt a
lot about R by simply reading the illuminating answers to the many
questions that could be asked. Thanks also to Bill Venables and Brian
Ripley for giving general statistical advice that is useful to everyone.
Finally, special thanks to Guido Masarotto and Brian Ripley for providing
the Windows binaries (which I found tremendeous with the version 0.99.0a...
look forward to the 1.0.0 binary).
