Dear R team,

Belated congratulations and thanks for V1 of R - it really is quite an
excellent piece of software. Various collegues of mine are beginning to
base their statistical teaching on it as well as regarding it as a sort of
S they can run at home.

I'm trying to write a small library for R and getting to the stage of
thinking about making up a set of pre-compiled binaries for popular O/S's.
I have no problems at the moment with the various documentation for
Unicies, but the win system was experimenting yesterday has an additional
directory with a non-ascii (binary?) file which I suspect is a win-help
file. How do I put these files together?

David.
