[R] Re: including R in the SuSE Linux distribution

Well, this is good news. However, I think it might be still be worth
asking them to include ESS. R works well with ESS. In notice their version
fo R is a bit out of date, and judging by the size, includes more than
just R-base. Since SuSE are already including R in their distribution,
they should be receptive (in theory) to including ESS as well.

So I guess the joint letter could now be just about ESS, along the lines
of "since you are incuding R, wouldn't it be fine if you included ESS as
well?"
