[R] ESS Compilation error

Im running R 0.99 on SuSE 6.3 with Linux 2.2.14 and Xemacs 21.1.

When I try to compile ESS the processes stops with an error message:

Making info file `ess.info' from `ess.texi'.

Does anybody know, what that means? Is there something missing on my system,
something to do with texinfo?
