There are some spatial functions in the sgeostat package on CRAN and
some in the `spatial' package in the VR bundle and there
may be more on Statlib (lib.stat.smu.edu)

It would probably not work. More worryingly, it might almost work but give
wrong answers in some cases. It wouldn't be supported (we don't have the
code and Mathsoft obviously wouldn't feel obliged to help). In any case,
if you want the commercial add-ons to S-PLUS you probably want S-PLUS
itself.
