[R] R for windows read.table()

Well, not much we can work on there, but it does not shrink for me,
and I've been working on read.table this afternoon and so have
used it many times.

If you have a reproducible example, can you file a bug report with
full details, including your Rconsole settings?  As ever, we cannot
investigate things we have never seen!
