Sorry, I now see that I put NLS in the subject instead of NLM. The Help that
comes with major 1, minor 1.1 2000/August/15 i586-pc-linus-gnu says for NLM
that "This is a preliminary version of this function and it will probably change."
This is what I wanted to mean originally.
