I had previously. Maybe you need to read what it claims it can write:

Windows Meta Files (WMF) (Windows 9x/NT only) 
Enhanced Windows Meta Files (EMF) (Windows 9x/NT only) 

and of course we already produce those *on Windows*.  I don't see how
it could help produce E/WMF on Linux.

The issue is that all the solutions par two commerical ones that I know
of make use of Windows libraries calls and so only run on Windows.
There is some Linux code to read Windows Metafiles.

Of course, if someone can provide us with a WMF driver on Unix, it would
bring this discussion to a close.  (Note that I do know how to do it
via WMF bitmaps, but that is not what is required here.)
