[R] What happenes with R-gnome?

My half-cent's worth:

There's something to be said for the Matlab "handle graphics" paradigm, in
that it lets you create graphs much as in R, but then allows the interactive
editing of a graph, from the command line or via the gui, after it has been
drawn. (See
