[R] weighted hierarchical clustering

I've posted this quite a while ago. Not having received any response, I'll 
just try my luck again ;-):

I'm trying to do a hierarchical cluster analysis on age structures in 
certain areas
of Belgium and France. For each spatial entity, I have the total number
of inhabitants and the percentages by age group. I would like to do the
analysis with the total number of inhabitants as the weight in distance
and new group center calculations. Is this possible ?
