[R] Transparent background for graphs

No.  It is not possible to plot them with a transparent background either:
the background is solid white by default.

There are lots of ways to convert the exported plot to have a transparent
background after export, though.  For example, convert -transparency foo
will do it.  (convert is part of ImageMagick.)
