[R] update.packages with proxy?

See ?download.file, as in

  method: Download method, see `download.file'.

Of course, if you had told us your R version and platform I might be able
to be more specific ....

On Windows you can use internet2.dll (see the changes file) and set the
proxy in Internet Options in the Control Panel, *if* you have Internet
Explorer >=4 installed.
